Sorry I have not been more active on here. Between working full time, taking care of pets, and real life friends (who I barely see as it is), I don't have much drawing time. Oh and WoW...why does that game have to be so darn fun? I have been sketching some nights, and I have 2 digital art pieces I've been working on for months that will be uploaded sometime in the next few months. Pretty sure I'm the slowest artist in the world. Hopefully I can take an art class this semester because that makes me draw more. And learn things! Yay learning!

I had a great 2012. The Aquabats finally got their own show and I got to see them live 3 times, and talk to all of them all at one of the shows. I also saw Tenacious D for the first time and we got to stand up by the stage, really close to them. Last month I went on an amazing vacation to San Francisco with my 3 best girl friends, where my boyfriend surprised me at an Aquabats show and proposed (on stage, in front of 800 people, I'm still embarrassed ahhhhh)!
Last year I also made a lot of friends through Tumblr, too many to even list. I will note Tyler Jacobs though, he works for the Aquabats Super Show and Yo Gabba Gabba, and helped my boyfriend set up the engagement. And Phylicia Fuentes, an animator for China, IL on Adult Swim, who is soooo nice. She also animated some of Superjail.

I have a pretty big backlog on DA, but I am slowly going through and commenting on friends' artwork. This is going to be my 10th year on DA (cry) so I will upload at least a few cool things, and try to catch up all the way on comments. If you have a tumblr, I'm much more active on there than here. If you don't have a tumblr you should get one because it's seriously the best. I have a Twitter and Instagram too but I don't post very much.

Since I haven't done ANY journals this year, I thought I'd do this survey tagged me in.

1. What do you want to be when you grow up? I am grown up but SOMEDAY I'd like to have a job in art.
2. What strange/bizarre/crazy scenarios do you daydream about? Oh man I think about crazy scenarios every day! Hmmm...I daydream about my wolfdragon characters having adventures almost every day.
3. Would you ever fly to space someday? To the moon? To another planet? I'd love to walk on the moon or another planet, but I get really bad motion sickness so I probably wouldn't even go. I'd throw up a lot in space. o_O
4. Favorite food? Buffalo chicken, mmmmm
5. Series you would recommend (book or TV)? the His Dark Materials book trilogy
6. Who is a (real, alive or dead, famous or not) human that you respect and why? Carl Sagan because he was an amazing scientist and a fantastic human being.
7. How do you relieve stress? Play video games!
8. Do you have any pets? If so, what species/breed? If not, what pet would you want? I have two cats, they're just mutts or domestic shorthairs. Also a fish tank with 9 fish, an aquatic frog, and 3 shrimps. I want all pets! I want a bird, a snake, a lizard, a tarantula, tropical fish, a cool bird, a chinchilla...someday I'll get a dog but probably not any of the other animals (maybe one more hehe).
9. Are you a morning person or a night person? Definitely night. I hate getting up before 10am.
10. Have you traveled to other countries? Where? I've been to Mexico, Canada, and China. :>

I'm quite behind on DA right now. I have 60 comments to answer going back 2 months, a hundred deviations to comment on, and art to upload. I've been busy with school, sick a couple of times, and we got a kitten that demands much attention. School is over for the semester in 2 weeks, so that should free up a tiny bit of time.

Cats are my favorite animals (I have 2 cat tattoos you know). I haven't had one since mine died 5 years ago. We got this kitten from the shelter, her name is Lyra. She loves to sit on shoulders and get into trouble. Knocking stuff down, walking on keyboards, attacking us while we eat...but she's so cute so all is forgivable. Today I'm picking up our 2nd kitten from the shelter, so Lyra can wrestle with her and not our hands as much. Our shelter is having buy and animal, get one free, so we couldn't help ourselves. The only problem...my boyfriend is allergic to cats. He got used to mine in the year he knew her, and I'm going to keep these 2 new ones and the house really clean. If we have to, we'll get an air filter, or get him a prescription from the doctor's. Luckily he likes Lyra even more than I thought he would.

Omg she's been sitting on my shoulder for a while, she just crawled down into my sweater and is purring. As my BFF !wakeupfaerie says, I'm smitten with kitten. Obligatory photos will come soon!

In my last poll, most people had no idea what ChromaDepth is. I expected this. Let me tell you about it! It's a special type of glasses that separate the color spectrum and make different colors look like they're on different "levels". When you wear the glasses, some images have a 3D effect. I first experienced it at a theme park during Halloween. For some of the mazes, you wore the glasses and experienced a neat 3D effect. Years later, I saw a commercial for Crayola 3D sidewalk chalk ( [link] ), that come with a pair of Chromadepth glasses. Lately I've been experimenting with Chromadepth art.

Something weird happened to me a couple weeks ago.  I saw my cannabis infographic ( [link] ) printed on a brochure.  I FEEL FAMOUS!  xD  That is by far my most popular picture on the internet, my brother the internet guru called it viral but I'm not sure it's THAT big.  Still, when I saw the brochure I felt like I was dreaming or something.

In other news, I got a scanner for xmas!    I only got to use my school's scanner occasionally, there were a few things from this semester I never scanned.  And I haven't scanned anything from my sketchbook!  I also got Read Dead Redemption.  Yaaaaay!

I know last journal I said I would have more to upload, then I barely uploaded anything for a couple of months.  I have quite a few awesome art projects, but am currently stuck without a scanner or digital camera!  As soon as I can get one or the other, you'll see some new art from me, including a really awesome new dragon picture.  

I'm pretty far behind on my messages.  I used to thank everyone who +fav'd my work, but I've been getting a lot lately (THANKS GUYS ) and can't do that anymore.  I will continue to return comments, gotta catch up on them!

I haven't been drawing much the last few months, especially these last few weeks that I've had World of Warcraft.  But my WoW expires soon, and the spring semester started today.  I'm taking 4 art classes so I expect I'll be uploading more.  xD  I am taking 2D design, Adobe Illustrator 2 (again), freehand drawing, and digital imaging (Photoshop I think).  Should be fun!

I had a great time at Anime Expo this year!  As usual, I went with my boyfriend and our good friend ~CousinPhil.  I saw a few friends including my hetero life-mate ~batness.    And quite excitingly, I got to meet ~PhantomDP!    I got sick right after the con...darn otaku germs.  It took me forever, but here are the pictures:

Soooo I just bought myself a subby a day or 2 ago.  Then yesterday...my computer broke.  T-T  It's been acting funny, but I didn't expect a total failure.  It starts up until the desktop shows, then after a moment it turns off.  Every time.  We tried everything we know.

So that sucks, but I can survive.  My boyfriend's computer has Photoshop and Illustrator.  Only...his computer broke today.  It won't even turn on!  We think the power supply died.  >_<

THIS SUCKS!  What am I gonna do all night with no computer?  More importantly, how will I draw and work on school projects??  T-T  I mostly feel like an ass to ~Chocolate-Rhinos because I've owed her a picture for months.

Everyone please forgive me.  I'll try to whip up some art, but it will probably be quick things I can do while at work or school.  D:  Also, you'd better say your goodbyes while you can...if my hard drive is not salvageable I might just have to jump off a bridge.  D:
